Look: Have you ever been to a grocery store with a tiny shopping cart? Our local Trader Joe's has them and recently I took Gavin on a shopping trip. He loved it!!!!
Learn: This was a good idea on a weekday when the store wasn't crowded. Picture an almost 3 year old going willy, nilly around the store...best when there are only a few shoppers. This was seriously fun and we got all the things we needed!
Love: My son is pretty cute, add a shopping cart and it's complete adorableness (if that's even a word!)
Back to Basics...focus more on the kids, with a bit of food, fashion and fun for me.

Passed 500, sort of a good achievement in my walking goals. And its June so we're halfway through the year. Good news is my heel is all healed up. So in addition to walking I may be able to get the running a bit back in. In the summer it's easy to add walking into our days. I used my double jogger and walk to playgrounds, the library, friends homes and the farmers market. At our vacation spot we walk back and forth to the beach a couple times a day which is a great way to keep up the miles. But what I forget with all the staying up late is to get up early enough to walk alone as exercise. So in the upcoming months and this beautiful walker friendly weather I need to make the time to walk by myself.

Playing in stores
Look: There are a lot of errands in my week. Grocery stores, libraries, target, hardware stores...whatever. I give myself 15 to 30 minutes extra for each errand. This way it gives the kids time to play a bit. Every store has some aisle they love. In our library there is a turtle. At target they sell toys. Wegmans has trains hanging from the ceiling. Lowe's has the tractor section So this is just a picture to show our fun.
Learn: I learned this lesson a while ago, happy kids means a better shopping experience for me. Sometimes when I am rushing it ends in shambles. The kids end up getting upset and the errands don't go well.
Love: I love crossing things off my to do list. Letting the kids have some fun is my key!

Back to Bentos
Look: So I need to get back into bentos. Simply put, more effort goes in therefore they get a better variety and eat better when we're out and about. Each child had the same: hummus and chips, plastic cupcake cup of granola, apple slices, salami rolls and a chocolate chip muffin. We went to Ikea and enjoyed lunch by the toys!
Learn: I had forgotten how much I love doing these and how much the kids enjoy them too. Thinking of doing these more (especially ahead of time when we have weekend guests) and even for when we are home. A few times a week the adults are eating something else, so it makes sense to have these ready to go.
Love: There is a bit of a creativity outlet in making a bento box pretty. I have not mastered it, but still it is fun to get my imagination going, even if it just for lunch.
